Medical Records Compliance Officer performs monitoring functions in Inpatient ward units for effective management of medical records. Such functions are real-time qualitative analysis and real time completion of required documents of doctors and nurses and other stakeholders to ensure the completeness of the patient medical record during confinement and upon discharge. Currently, the completeness of medical records in FVH is way below standards. Since FV Hospital is gearing towards JCI accreditation, completeness of documentation for currently confined patients is a must since most of the JCI patient centered - standards are evaluated through the open medical records. A strategy which was proven effective in JCI Accredited hospitals is real time and constant monitoring and reminders to stakeholders of incomplete and below quality standards medical documents.
* Key duties and responsibilities:
- Perform Real Time analysis of medical records for completeness of documentation based on approved documentation guidelines
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and members of the healthcare team to complete the medical records of their patient while still confined and before discharge
- Ensure the completeness of the records before forwarding discharge patient records by the Units administrative assistant
- Generate reports of complete vs. incomplete records, completion compliance rate, and delinquent individuals to their immediate superior (Medical or Nursing Director) and to the Medical Records Manager and Quality Management Director .
- Perform quality assurance function to monitor or validate data on quality indicators as required by the Quality Management Department.
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time

1. Qualification/ Trình độ chuyên môn:
- B S Graduate in Nursing or related healthcare field
2. Experience/ Kinh nghiệm:
- Preferably with 6 months experience on medical records analysis in a reputable healthcare facility
3. Skills and knowledge/ Kiến thức và kỹ năng:
- Thorough knowledge in the hospital operation and use of computer
- Knowledgeable in the standard format of patient records
- Knowledgeable in the contents of a patient record

- Experienced at least for 1 year on medical records review and can train new hires regarding units processes and procedures
